What Territory Do We Serve?
We try cases throughout the entire State of Texas but with an obvious emphasis in Central and South Texas.
Every year, we routinely litigate cases in Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Victoria, and the border areas of Laredo, Brownsville, Harlingen, McAllen, Del Rio, and Eagle Pass.  Many of our attorneys and staff are fluent Spanish.
We have tried more malpractice cases in "the Valley" region of Texas along the border, than any other San Antonio defense firm.

Travel expense is of special concern to clients and an area which we have addressed at Evans & Rowe.
We begin with the premise that with a little effort and forethought, travel can frequently be avoided altogether. Before hopping in a plane or car, we first determine if alternate means are available by which to accomplish the same result. We frequently complete depositions and interviews by way of video conferencing and/or web cam meetings.

When in person contact truly is required, we explore whether it makes more sense to bring the witness to us, particularly when the cost can be shared among other parties to the case, than go to the witness.  It's frequently more cost effective to bring a single expert to a destination for deposition instead of several lawyers flying to the expert's office.
When travel is required, we assure it is economical and efficient.  We coordinate our depositions or meetings to accomplish as many as possible during a single business trip.  If work can be done on other cases at that time, the travel expenses are equitably apportioned and shared among each file.
E & R attorneys follow rules that comport with the travel guidelines established by the most cost conscious of clients.  We fly coach.  We stay at moderately priced hotels.  Meal expenses are for basic sustenance and not an excuse for fine dining.  Hotel movies, laundry, and the like are the personal responsibility of the attorney.  We make day trips when possible even when it means returning home after midnight.  Each travel expense is required to be verified by written receipt.
