Why We're Unique
Apart from the fact that we specialize in this one field alone, we're very different from other law firms in some specific ways.
We're the only law firm in San Antonio that serves as General Counsel to the Bexar County Medical Society, the nation's 8th largest medical society consisting of 4,226 in San Antonio and South Texas.  We attend every Board of Directors meeting, handle all corporate legal affairs and provide counsel to all Society members.  When defense experts are needed or treating physicians are deposed, there aren't too many doctors in the area who don't know of us and the role we serve in their medical society.
We're the only law firm with uniquely strong ties to the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio.  Apart from serving as regular defense counsel to the school and its medical staff, we're also on permanent staff as a member of the Medical School University Faculty and our instruction is part of the regularly scheduled school curriculum.  When specialized and highly credentialed academic experts are needed in litigation, these contacts can be useful to our clients.
We're the only law firm in Texas that is on the Board of Directors for the Political Action Committee (PAC) exclusively owned and operated by doctors for the sole purpose of electing selected District Court Judges.  BexarPAC has raised and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in local elections and is a well recognized political force.  The single firm and non-physician member of the organization is Evans & Rowe.
We began trying cases over 32 years ago.  Literally, we have tried to verdict hundreds of personal injury claims.  And we try them in tough jurisdictions along the border region in Texas.

Over 98% of the cases we have tried to verdict have resulted in a defense verdict for our client.

We doubt many Texas firms can make that claim.

That's one of the reasons why Evans & Rowe holds an A-V rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Every owner of this Firm is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial LawThere are few, if any, firms in Texas of this size in which every equity Partner is Board Certified in this practice speciality.  To put it in perspective, of the thousands of personal injury trial lawyers, less than 31 became certified last year.  The prerequisites merely to apply for certification and take the exam are rigorous and require peer review of the attorney.  Of those who qualify, at least an additional one in three will be unable to pass the written examinations required by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Our partners have all satisfied those requirements.
